Description: AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-review accreditation process designed to review cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other professional societies. AACVPR-certified programs are recognized as leaders in their field because they offer the most advanced, evidence-based practices and care. This session, recorded at the 2026 Annual Meeting, will provide an overview of each page of the 2026 certification application and insight on how to successfully complete the certification process. We will discuss how to avoid common mistakes as well as provide an in-depth review of ITP requirements, common errors and pitfalls, and finding ways to improve your program's ITPs. Programs seeking AACVPR Certification for the first time, and those renewing their certification are encouraged to attend.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify requirements for each page of the AACVPR CR & PR Program Certification Applications
2. Identify materials needed to successfully submit documents and the resources available to help programs prepare for certification
3. Review of both approved submissions and submissions with opportunities for improvement.
