Description: This dynamic on-demand program is designed to support cardiac rehabilitation professionals preparing for the Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) exam through a flexible, in-depth virtual learning experience. The course includes nine on-demand modules led by expert AACVPR faculty and a live review study session focused on test preparation strategies and discussion with experts. Participants will gain practical insights and evidence-based knowledge across key domains of cardiac and leave the program with actionable tools and the confidence to apply best practices in clinical settings. The course is ideal for both new and experienced professionals seeking to deepen their expertise and successfully earn CCRP certification.
Learning Objectives: At the completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in core patient assessment techniques used in cardiac rehabilitation, including clinical evaluation and risk stratification.
- Apply evidence-based approaches to lifestyle modification, including nutrition, weight management, tobacco cessation, and psychosocial support.
- Interpret and manage key clinical parameters such as blood pressure, lipid levels, and diabetes, incorporating current guidelines and medication strategies.
- Design and implement individualized exercise and physical activity programs that align with patient goals and safety standards.
- Prepare effectively for the CCRP certification exam by utilizing structured study strategies, understanding exam content areas, and reviewing documentation and outcomes best practices.

Live Study Sessions: The optional live study sessions, led by Course Director Betsy Hart, MS, ACSM-CEP, CCRP, CDCES, FAACVPR, and the module faculty, complement the on‑demand modules with guided discussion, test‑taking strategies, and clinical case review to strengthen CCRP exam preparation. Learners who register for the on‑demand modules may also enroll live sessions offered in May, August, or October, choosing the date that aligns with their exam window. Sessions are encouraged but optional, available only to those registered for the on‑demand modules, and best attended after completing the on-demand modules.
