Description: Patients with chest pain, ischemia, or even myocardial infarction do not always have obstructive coronary artery disease. MINOCA (myocardial infarction with nonobstructive coronary arteries) and INOCA (ischemia with nonobstructive coronary arteries) are increasingly recognized as important contributors to cardiovascular morbidity, recurrent symptoms, and diminished quality of life. This webinar will provide an overview of the spectrum of coronary dysfunction, including coronary microvascular dysfunction and vasospastic disease. Attendees will review contemporary concepts in pathophysiology, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment, while exploring practical implications for cardiac rehabilitation professionals. Through clinical cases and evidence-based discussion, participants will gain tools to better recognize, support, and educate patients living with these often-misunderstood conditions.

Learning Objectives:  

1. Differentiate MINOCA, INOCA, coronary microvascular dysfunction, and vasospastic angina from traditional obstructive coronary artery disease.
2. Recognize clinical features associated with higher-risk presentations of coronary dysfunction syndromes that warrant further evaluation or escalation of care.
3. Incorporate disease-specific considerations into exercise training, symptom assessment, and patient education for individuals with MINOCA, INOCA, and related coronary dysfunction disorders.
