Description: Content for this webcast, presented in 2024, will provide an overview of current literature related to creative arts therapies in adult healthcare setting. Discussion will focus on three primary areas where an arts therapies approach can support the well-being of individuals throughout the rehabilitation process, including stress management, grief processing, and community building. 

Learning Objectives: 

1. Identify options for using art, music, and story to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. 
2. Explain the benefits of both facilitated and passive arts engagement for supporting grief processing related to health and or ability changes. 
3. Recognize the relevance of arts interventions as culturally responsive tools for community building and de-stigmatizing mental health aspects of the rehabilitation process.
